DISCLAIMER

Upon occasion, individual sacred name people who correspond with us are offered the opportunity to write an essay to be posted on the web site. The invitation is to support, explain, or defend any of their doctrinal issues or to rebuttal any of the points made on the Sacred Name Movement Errors Web Site.

Certainly we do not agree with the points made in these essays. But, we publish them here in an attempt to let our visitors see first hand the extent of the error into which sacred name converts have sunk.

We are often falsely accused of attempting to make the sacred name doctrine out to be a spiritual monster. This page lets sacred name teachers speak for themselves. It also lets our visitors judge for themselves whether the doctrine of the sacred name with all its tentacles is a monster.

EDITOR'S COMMENTS

I had intended to upload this essay without any comment of my own. However, I am not able to refrain from at least one paragraph.

This man gave four different names for the Messiah in his correspondence to Sacred Name Movement Errors web site - Yahshua, YeSHUWAH, YeHSHUA, and YAHSHUWAH. He said the latter two were typographical errors. Now, in this essay, he gives numerous names, any of which he prefers over the name of Jesus. As you read, you will notice nine [9] different names, Yehsua, YESHUA, Yeshuwa, Yeshuwah, Yasha, Yesha, Yahuw, YEHOSHUA,  and finally Yehoshuwah.

But, in this whole essay of almost two thousand words he never makes a single mention of the pronunciation he began our correspondence using - Yahshua. This is the one pronunciation I had hoped [actually asked] for him to present documentation for.

It is impossible for the Messiah's name to be "Jesus",  simply because there was no letter J, at the time of his birth or at the time the scripture of Matt 1:21 was written. Secondly, YAHuWEH, or Yoseph and his wife would not have broken Mosaic traditions, customs, and laws. As you can see they followed and kept the law even as they circumcised the Messiah on the eigth day according to the Mosaic law and YAHuWEH way of custom. Hebrew parents would not have called there child, whom they knew to be the Hebrew Messiah a Greek/Syrian name, any more than they would have served pork at the pass over. Lastly, A baby with a gentile name would have been allowed to be circumcised according to Mosaic custom, in the "temple."

So if anything the translators called Yehshua, Ieasous; but, thats either not likely or very incorrect because in the origin and/or primary roots of the word Ieasous there is nothing that has any thing to with salvation, or healing, or deliverence (or the many other reasons as to why the Messiah came) the way that the name YESHUA does.

When the YAHuWEH gives a name to some one he does so according to the purpose and the meaning he has ordained for that person. Rom 8:28 And we know that allthings work together for good to them that love YAHuWeh, to them who are the called according to his Purpose. i.e. Abraham -- father of many nations; Gen 17:5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. i.e. Noah -- rest; quite Gen 5:29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.

Now, I ask: What was the purpose of the Messiah? Was it not to save, deliver, prosper, and heal us, along with to increase our lives, give us liberty, and victory over death. hell and the grave?

          The Messiah's Purpose:
"And He shall swallow up on this mountain the surface of the covering which covers all people , and the veil which is spread over all nations. He shall swallow up death forever, and the Master Yahweh shall wipe away tears from all faces, and take away the reproach of His people from all the earth. For Yahweh has spoken. And it shall be said in that day, "See, this is our Elohim. We have waited for Him, and He saves us. This is Yahweh, we have waited for Him, let us be glad and rejoice in His deliverance." YeshaYahu (Isaiah) 25:7-9

Luke 4:18 --19 The Spirit of YAHuWEH is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To proclaim the acceptable year of YAHuWEH Elohim The Meaning of the Messiah: "For Elohim so loved the world that He have His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life." Yohanan (John) 3:16

Strong's Concordance -- Hebrew Dictionary Word # 3442 -- Yeshua: He will Save
Strong's Concordance -- Hebrew Dictionary Word # 3443 -- Yeshuwa (corresp. 3442) Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name YESHUA: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Strong's Concordance -- Hebrew Dictionary Word # 3444 Yeshuwah -- fem past.part. of word # 3067; something saved; prosperity -- deliverence, health,  help(-ing) salvation, save, saving, (health) welfare.

Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Strong's Concordance -- Hebrew Dictionary, Word # 3467 Yasha -- a prime root; prop. to be opened, wide, or free, i.e. (by impl) to be safe; causat to free or succor-x at all avenging, defend, deliver(-er), help, preserve, rescue, be safe, bring (having) salvation, save(-iour), get victory.

Strong's Concordance -- Hebrew Dictionary, Word # 3468 Yesha - from 3467; liberty, deliverance, prosperity: safety, salvation, saving.

Strong's Concordance -- Hebrew Dictionary, Word # 3470 Yesha Yahuw -- from 347 and 3050; Yah has saved; Jeshajah, the name of seven Isr.;-Isaiah, Jesaiah, Jeshaiah.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Now, not just the attributes of salvation but even the word "salvation" itself is in the roots and origins of the word/name Yeshua. That is just not so with word/name JESUS -- IESOUS. The reason for that is because one name (YESHUA) is from YAHuWEH, and the other (JESUS/IEASOUS) is from man, and man can't save man.

Now I looked up the word "JESUS" in the Strong's Greek Dictionary ---word #2424 it says that it means Ieasosu (ee-ay-soos) in the Greek language. Then it says that the word Ieasous comes from the word in the Hebrew Dictionary, word # 3091 YEHOSHUA meaning "God" has saved. Which of course is what the patriarch Yehoshua (Joshua) and the priest was called to do, in that they would be a type and shadow of the Messiah. However, in the word Iesous there is nothing that is relative the words Salvation and YAHuWEH or to the Greek word Sozo (which means salvation in Greek) or the word Theos (which means "God") as Yeshua, Yeshuwah, Yehoshuwah, does.

Then there is Bar-Jesus in Acts 13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: "Bar" means son of, in Hebrew (and it is a Hebrew word in the midst of Greek?) so I didn't know that the Messiah had a son that was a sorcerer and a false prophet?!

No, I don't think the Creator of the Heavens and Earth and the fullness thereof would call His Son a name that would associated with sorcery.

So Gary, I guess you can go on with calling the Messiah a name created by man but before you make that decision please consider this: Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my Elohim, and the name of the city of my Elohim, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my Elohim: and I will write upon him my new name. Rev 3:13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the assemblies.

From the on-set of our communications you have been obnoxious. As I presented you with more facts to prove that you are wrong, you became even rude. Never once have I tried to insult you yet over and over you come at me with sarcastic language.

Now, I simply requested you to have regard for me, and with arrogance, bitterness, and sarcasm, you dismissed my request for the sake of your own ambitions. Again I say "know a tree by the fruit it bares" do you think that you are baring fruit that would cause me to come to this JESUS person, you speak about?

My Friend, I have requested that you not post anything that I have written without my permission only because I am concerned that you will take things out of context or make wrong assumptions. Can you not be a man of honor and allow me to see what you are doing?

I have asked you on a couple of occasion to prove to me by the principles of YAHuWeh in the scriptures that he would have called the Messiah, Ieasous (JESUS) but you haven't, because you can't, and neither can anyone else. I think that you are not out to proclaim the nature of the Messiah, but only to prove that you are right.

You, my friend, are out of control, especially if when some one asked you not to do something, and you respond by mocking them and hurling sarcastic, ridiculing, and insincere apologies at them.

Do you know the difference between being right, and being righteous? My master instructs me to produce fruits of his spirit. That would be to bring forth peace, love, joy, patience, kindness, and self-control. Those are attributes (conduits if you will) that bring forth healing, victory, health, prosperity, deliverance, safety, and salvation I hope you are familiar with 1Cor.13:4-7, but more, I hope that you are familiar with the application of those verses, which would be to defend, preserve, protect, and increase the value of people that YAHuWEH allows to come in to your life.

Now let us say good-bye. I do not want to hear from you again, unless you can confess that Yeshua is master. So Long, and may the will of YAHuWEH and not yours or mine be done.
